Comscore Announces the Beta Release of Mobile Metrix® in Finland for Reporting of Smartphone and Tablet Audiences

Mobile Metrix® Provides Measurement of Browser and App Audiences for Both Types of Mobile Devices

Helsinki, Finland, August 11, 2014 – Comscore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a global leader in digital measurement and analytics, today announced the Beta launch of Mobile Metrix® in Finland for reporting of mobile browser and app audiences on smartphones and tablets. This service can help publishers demonstrate the size and value of their mobile audiences and help media planners and buyers better evaluate advertising opportunities on mobile devices. Mobile Metrix was the first service of its kind to market in the U.S. and it has been introduced in other markets, such as Brazil, Malaysia, Mexico, Spain, the Netherlands and Turkey.

As part of Comscore's commitment to a global rollout, this version of the product has been developed based on Comscore's innovative census based methodology that enables in-market mobile measurement without the need of a traditional mobile panel, using census-only methodologies. The output delivers person-centric measurement for tagged entities. It is therefore crucial for publishers with a need to understand or monetize their mobile audiences to help this measurement work harder for their market by tagging all pages and apps. Only tagged entities will feature in rankings.

“We are excited to introduce Mobile Metrix in Finland, the first mobile measurement service of its kind to report smartphone and tablet audiences in the Nordics,” said Gerben Boot, General Manager Nordics of Comscore. “With these devices accounting for a rapidly expanding share of digital media consumption, Comscore recognized the need to expand our industry-leading audience measurement offering to better represent this new paradigm.”

Mobile Metrix helps to answer the following questions:

  • What is the size and audience composition of mobile sites and apps?
  • How does mobile usage at various publishers break down between smartphones and tablets?
  • How do mobile audiences vary by operating system?
  • Which web sites / apps / content categories are growing fastest on mobile platforms?
  • How is your mobile web site or app performing vs. your competitors and vs. the market as a whole?

Comscore will be reporting smartphone and tablet Finnish audiences for August 2014 Data end of September 2014. To learn more about Mobile Metrix in Finland, please contact us at learnmore@comscore.com.
