97 Percent of French Online Population Exposed to Display Ads

In April 2011, 97 percent of the total online population in France was exposed to 55 billion online display advertisements.

Of the total impressions, 15.8 billion were served on social networking sites and reached 82 percent of all people who were exposed to display ads during the month. Social networking sites were one of the key drivers for growth in the number of display ads served in France. Publishers from the category accounted for the largest share of display ads with 29 percent of all ad impressions served during the month.

Looking at individual publishers revealed that Facebook.com ranked as the top publisher in France with 15 billion impressions served on the site.
