Taking Pictures of Products Is Main In-Store Activity for French Smartphone Owners
There were 28.4 million French smartphone owners in the three month average ending September 2013, which constitutes nearly 60 percent of the total French mobile audience. During the month nearly 20 percent of these French smartphone users took a picture of a product whilst in a physical retail store.
Texting or calling friends or family about a product was the second most popular in-store retail activity, with 18 percent of smartphone owners asking for advice and opinions about a product. This was followed by sending a product picture to friends or family, which was an activity carried out by 1 out of 10 French smartphone owners during the month.
