The second favourite activity of French smartphone owners while in a retail store was taking a picture of a product (6.3 million smartphone owners). Compared to November 2011 this activity experienced a 33 percent growth over the year. Other activities that experienced large increases in France were researching product features, comparing product prices and texting or calling friends/family about a product. These all achieved a growth rate of 31 percent between November 2011 and November 2012.
