25 million People Watched 2.3 Billion Videos Online in France in May 2008

Led by YouTube, Google Sites Attracts 28 Percent of Online Video Market

PARIS, France, August 21, 2008 – Comscore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today released data from the Comscore Video Metrix service, indicating that 25.2 million French Internet users (81 percent of the total French Internet audience) viewed 2.3 billion videos online in May 2008.

Google Sites Ranks as Most Popular Online Video Viewing Property

Google Sites, driven by the popularity of YouTube.com (which accounted for 97 percent of all videos viewed on the property in May), attracted a 28-percent share of all online videos viewed in France. Despite its position as the top ranked video property in France, Google Sites’ share of online video in France is lower than it is in any of the four other Comscore Video Metrix countries, recording a 45-percent share in the U.K., a 44-percent share in Canada, a 38-percent share in Germany, and a 34-percent share in the U.S.

Google Sites’ lower share in France relative to other markets reflects, in part, the strength of local French video site Dailymotion.com, which ranked second with a very respectable 16-percent share of videos viewed. Groupe TF1 Sites (1.5 percent), Microsoft Sites (0.8 percent), and Yahoo! Sites (0.5 percent) rounded out the top five.
