CESP confirms audit of Comscore Advertising Effectiveness Technology and Methodology for vCE
Paris, January 14th, 2016 – Comscore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a global media measurement and analytics company, and the CESP (Centre d’Etude des Supports de Publicité) today announced that a full audit of validated Campaign Essentials™ (vCE™), Comscore online advertising effectiveness measurement and validation service is underway, providing greater transparency to the digital media industry in France.
Valérie Morrisson, Managing Director of the CESP says: “An audit process of Comscore vCE has commenced. The audit is covering the validation of advertising delivery in the first phase, including how the system measures Viewability, Brand Safety and Invalid Traffic. In a second phase the CESP audit will investigate audience assignment within vCE that reports on the accuracy of demographic targeting.”
“We’ve worked with the CESP and its Scientific Committee over the last three years on the audit of MMXTM, our audience measurement service,” said Josh Chasin, Comscore Chief Research Officer. “This was a rigorous audit process that led to a Research Plan addressing recommendations made by CESP in areas such as panel, modelling development and unified methodology. The next natural step for us is to now embark on an audit with CESP for our leading advertising effectiveness product. vCE has so far undergone an audit and certification in the US and UK with MRC and in the UK with ABC. We look forward to working with the CESP to continue Comscore commitment to transparency and methodological excellence in France.”
Jacques Tchenio, Comscore VP Sales in France added: “Comscore is trusted by more than 2,500 clients worldwide, who value our company’s independence and methodology transparency. We value the audit process and the recommendations that the CESP will make to ensure the French market remains confident and trusting of the quality products and services Comscore offers in the territory.”
