When ranking the European countries by reach, Turkey leads the pack with nearly 80 percent of Turkish internet users visiting a sports site during the month, followed by Ireland in second place with 67 percent reach and then Spain in third with 62 percent. Poland and the United Kingdom are not far behind, with 57 percent and 56 percent reach respectively.
The European average lies at 45 percent and Russia concluded the rankings with only a quarter of their online audience accessing a sports site in May 2013.
