2024 State of Gaming Report
We’re excited to share that Comscore has once again earned a place on the Online Trust Alliance’s (OTA) annual Honor Roll. The Online Trust Alliance (OTA) is a non-profit with the mission to enhance online trust and user empowerment while promoting innovation and the vitality of the Internet. Its goal is to help educate businesses, policy makers and stakeholders while developing and advancing best practices and tools to enhance the protection of users' security, privacy and identity.
Each year, the OTA evaluates companies in three major categories: 1) Domain, Brand and Consumer Protection 2) Site, Server, and Infrastructure Security and 3) Data Protection, Privacy and Transparency. The weighting of areas within this categories changes each year in response to developments in the privacy world. Companies that react to evolving best practices throughout the year see a corresponding effect on their scores; companies that are not responsive to changes may, as a result, drop off the Honor Roll.
According to the OTA’s website, “The Honor Roll recognizes leadership while promoting the critical important for organizations of all sizes to adopt consumer-centric best practices. Organizations that have embraced these practices and data stewardship are to be commended for their commitment to their customers and stockholders.”
Strong privacy practices are at the core of all of Comscore’s operations. We routinely engage with the broader privacy and legal communities to discuss and adopt new best practices, and appreciate the perspective and guidance offered by the OTA.
