Are British Men More Interested in Politics?

In the UK, Politics Sites attracted 4.9 million unique visitors during March 2012. A demographic breakdown of the people visiting such sites shows that 23.7 percent of the audience are between 25-34 years old, accounting for the largest share across all age groups.

Nearly the same number of men and women use the internet in the UK, but it’s a totally different picture when analysing the demographics of visitors to News/Information – Politics websites. 63.4 percent of users of sites such as BBC News UK-Politics and Guardian Politics were men compared to only 36.6 percent of women visiting these sites in the UK during March 2012.
