Germany’s Mobile Users Discover Retail and Instant Messaging

In Germany, online retail was the fastest growing activity among mobile users (+92%), reaching 7.7 million people in the three month average ending July 2012. Instant messaging services like WhatsApp and Windows Live have gained popularity too and in July 13.7 million German mobile users accessed these services, an increase of nearly 90% since last year.

General reference sites, such as Wikipedia, grew the third fastest (up 77% since last year) to 9.9 million users in Germany.
