Convenience Leads as Top Reason for Purchasing on Smartphone
On-the-go convenience topped the list as the most popular reason for those consumers that made a purchase on their smartphone rather than online via a computer or in-person, with 63% of consumers selecting this as a reason in their purchase decision. 52% of purchasers said available special offers/coupons were a factor in purchasing on their smartphone, while 48% selected easy to compare prices/find the best deal as their reason to purchase on their mobile phone.
