It was all about football this week in the Detroit, MI market. Despite resulting in a loss, Sundays game between the Detroit Lions versus the Seattle Seahawks generated some strong viewership on the broadcast side. The game itself on WJBK (FOX) drove an impressive 32.3 live household rating, with nearly 1 in 3 households in the market tuning in. This strong viewership of the game coverage yielded strong results for the FOX affiliate as a whole this week, earning WJBK (FOX) the number one spot in the broadcast network ranking as well with an average live household rating of 3.8.
On the cable side, college football coverage drove strong ratings as well. Saturday’s game on the BTN (Big Ten Network) earned the title of number one series of the week, driving an average household rating of 10.8. However, in this week’s cable network ranking it was FNC (FOX News Channel) that earned the top spot with an average live household rating of 1.0.
